Portarlington Primary School sets out to ‘inspire every child to grow and thrive’.  In this we strive to provide the best conditions for our students to develop academically, socially and emotionally.

The school’s values, safe, kind, respectful and responsible, aim to provide the direction for students to achieve their best and to prepare them to be contributing members of the community we live in, while setting them up for a world which will undoubtedly be vastly different.

Part of our mission as a school is to continually reflect on our approaches to learning and wellbeing, and to be responsive to the needs of our community and society as a whole.  We do this through regular reflections on our teaching and learning programs, and through formal departmental reviews which are detailed below.  

2026 - 2030 School Strategic Plan

Portarlington Primary School’s strategic plan sets out a clear four-year plan to ensure our school continues to provide the best opportunities for each and every student.  This plan has been developed after an intensive school review during the first term in 2026.
